The Foundation is duly organized under the December 4, 1990 law, related to organizations.

The Sonatrach Tassili foundation is entrusted with the protection of nature by ensuring survival, fighting against all forms of pollution, preserving Fauna and Flora, preserving material and immaterial cultural patrimonies and contributing to the social and economic development of populations in remote and deprived areas.

The Sonatrach Tassili Foundation offers nationwide activities, in the vast Saharan regions and particularly in the far south regions, mainly the Tassili regions.

Sonatrach is honored to link it name, through its Foundation, to the Tassili which contains a cultural patrimony made of engravings and rock paintings, and a natural one, made of rich Fauna and Flora.

The Tassili is the primary objective of the Sonatrach Tassili Foundation's activities.
